Small groups with a shared purpose

A good group gives your player people to learn with and decisions to make. We'll look for a useful match in age, ability and what the players want to work on.

How are soccer training groups matched?

Each specialized group has 3-6 players and trains for 60 minutes. Age matters, but it isn't the only factor. A player who is learning to receive and pass may need a different group from one practicing quick decisions under pressure. I also consider confidence, experience and the purpose of the session.

Teammates can inquire together. Friends don't automatically make a suitable training group, so we'll discuss the players' needs before agreeing on a place. Boys and girls can both inquire; this site doesn't advertise separate gender-specific programs. A group is confirmed only when player fit, numbers, timing and approved field access work.

What changes when other players join?

Partners and opponents create choices that isolated repetition can't provide. A receiving activity might begin with a pass and a look over the shoulder, then add a defender so the player has to decide whether to turn, protect the ball or play it back. A finishing activity can include a teammate's movement and a choice of pass or shot.

I'll still make individual corrections. The shared focus helps the players understand what to watch for, while the pressure can change to suit their level. If a player needs much more time on one movement, a private lesson may be a more useful start.

What does a small group cost?

A single session is $30 per player. With a 16-session commitment, the price is $25 per player per session. That's four blocks of four sessions at $100 per block, $400 total per player. Payment timing is agreed before enrollment. One four-session block on its own does not qualify for that discount.

One group makeup per four-session block is permitted when a suitable space exists, without taking a group above six players. A makeup isn't a guaranteed extra place in any session you choose. Coach cancellations and unsafe-weather cancellations are rescheduled, with refunds for services that can't be delivered.

Ask about a group near you

Mesa and Gilbert are the main hubs for recurring training. For other areas, we can discuss a concentrated local window when compatible bookings and approved spaces allow it. Share your city, the player's age and experience, and the main skill or game situation you want to address.

You don't need to bring a complete group to ask. Fran will discuss whether there's a suitable match or another sensible starting option. This page doesn't promise an open place, a weekly time or a field reservation. Compare individual and group training before deciding.
