Private lessons built around your player

One player, one coach, and time to work through the details. Tell me what your player finds difficult in a game, and we'll choose a useful place to start.

Who benefits from one-on-one training?

A beginner may want to feel comfortable receiving and passing. A club player may need help using a first touch when an opponent closes quickly. A teenager preparing for school soccer may want to make clearer decisions with less time on the ball. Those are different starting points, and the session should reflect that.

I work with boys and girls, from players learning the basics to players preparing for a more competitive environment. Your player's age, experience, interests and current team load help us decide whether individual coaching is the right fit. A private lesson doesn't replace team practice or promise a place on a team.

What happens in a 60-minute lesson?

First, I listen to the player and parent. We identify one or two priorities and look at how the player handles them. If a player loses the ball after receiving, I might look at what they saw before the pass, how they positioned their body and where the first touch went.

We can slow the action down for a technical correction, then add a choice or suitable pressure. The goal is to understand when to use the skill as well as how to do it. At the end, I'll give a short parent update about the focus and what we'll review next. There is no fixed timetable for improvement.

Possible focuses include first touch, passing, weak-foot use, 1v1 attacking, finishing, defending and position decisions. See how receiving and scanning connect.

Private soccer training prices

A single 60-minute lesson is $75. The 16-session commitment is $70 per session: four blocks of four sessions at $280 per block, $1,120 total. Buying one four-session block alone does not qualify for the commitment rate. Payment timing and full terms are agreed before enrollment.

You can start with a single lesson. If your player would benefit from working with peers, matched small groups are another option. Our private-versus-group guide explains the difference.

Fit the lesson around the rest of the week

Mesa and Gilbert are the primary hubs. Appointments in other service areas are arranged around practical travel windows and approved spaces. Share your city, neighborhood, usual team practices and possible days. After-school and weekend requests are welcome, but sending an inquiry doesn't reserve a time.

Bring water, a ball if you have one, and footwear suited to the confirmed surface. Ask Fran about shin guards and any other equipment before arriving. The exact meeting point, access and parent observation arrangements are confirmed directly.

Please give at least 24 hours' notice for private cancellations. Coach cancellations and unsafe-weather cancellations are rescheduled, with refunds for services that can't be delivered. Review the cancellation details before enrolling.
